What is the price range of your bridal gowns?

Current bridal collections start from £550 – £3300. With most dresses around £1500. Our Outlet department have a fabulous selection of gowns off the peg from £150. (These have been sample gowns within our stores.)

Do I have to make an appointment and how long do you allow?

Yes, please. To ensure that we can give the very best experience, we do recommend an appointment. Please call 01633 243943 to book your dedicated appointment with our friendly team.

For a first bridal consultation we allow 1.5 hours with 1 hour for a second visit. For Occasion Wear we allow 1 & half hours.

What sizes are your bridal gowns?

Most of our sample dresses are a 12/14/16/18. We also have plus size sample wedding dresses from a size 18 – 30.

Is there a charge to try on wedding dresses?

When booking your appointment we will ask for card details to secure your booking.

We charge a £20 booking fee to secure your bridal appointment. This will be charged on booking. The £20 can be redeemed against a bridal gown purchase.

If you need to change your appointment date or time, or need to cancel, please let us know with 48 hours notice of your appointment by giving us a call on 01633 243943 and we can refund the £20 charge.

Booking fees will be lost if cancellations are made after this notice period.

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR BRIDAL APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATION EMAIL. Your booking will not be complete until you receive this email. If you do not receive an email within 24 hours, please call us on 01633 243943.

Will other brides see me in my gown?

Not at All About Eve Bridal. Each bride has their very own private dressing room, with comfy seating for your guests.

Can I bring people with me?

Of course! Our private rooms can seat up to four people comfortably. We can accommodate more guests, just let us know.

I have found the gown what happens next?

Congratulations! When you are ready to order your wedding dress we require 50% deposit to order.  A wedding dress can take approximately 6/8 months to be made and every wedding dress is made to order, so cannot be cancelled once the order has been placed.

Will my gown require alterations?

Most wedding dresses will require alterations. These are charged in addition to the price of the wedding dress. A list of recommended seamstresses will be provided to you when you collect your wedding dress.

I am parting with a lot of money, is my deposit safe?

We can offer you peace of mind by giving you the ‘Retail Bridal wear Association’ Brides protection scheme. This is a complimentary insurance for the deposit you have paid for your gown.  The RBA guarantees the deposit you have paid. (Similar to ABTA and ATOL protection when you book your holiday through a quality travel company).

The association check our business financials regularly to ensure the viability of their members. There are over 2500 bridal shops in the UK and only 85 are members. (Only four in South Wales).

How do I get to you?

We have a free car park behind the boutique and we are just a five minute walk from Newport train station.
